Important Info: These Bananas are not really blue! Many photos of Blue Java on the internet are photoshopped. None of the photos on our site are edited. Origin: Blue Java Bananas are native to Southeast Asia and is a hybrid of two species of banana native to Southeast Asia — Musa balbisiana and Musa acuminata. Ice cream bananas are rare here in South Florida.buy Blue Java Banana online

Flavor Profile: The taste is slightly tart similar to an apple banana but they have a thicker and super creamy texture. The nickname “ice cream” is for its soft serve texture- not the flavor.

How To Eat: Your Bananas will arrive unripe. Store at room temperature of 70 degrees or above for optimal ripening. Once soft all over, they are ready to eat!
